ADHD Therapy in Silver Spring, MD
Specialized ADHD therapy for adolescents and adults across Silver Spring, the D.C. metro area, and via telehealth throughout Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. Led by a clinician with seven years of dedicated ADHD practice.
What Is ADHD Therapy?
ADHD therapy is more than managing distractibility. It’s specialized psychotherapy that addresses the full range of ways Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder affects daily life — executive functioning, emotional regulation, relationships, self-worth, school and career performance, and the anxiety and shame that so often develop alongside it. At B.L. Meader LCSW-C Therapy, ADHD is the primary clinical focus, and every treatment plan is tailored to the specific ways ADHD shows up in your life.
Our Approach
Briana’s approach to ADHD treatment is built on seven years of dedicated experience in a specialty ADHD practice, combined with 20 years of broader clinical work with adolescents and adults. Every patient begins with a thorough evaluation of how ADHD affects their daily life — at school, at work, in relationships, and internally. From there, treatment is individualized.
Common components include CBT-based work to address anxious or self-critical thinking, DBT skills (integrated into individual sessions, not offered as a group) to manage emotional intensity, and integrated ADHD coaching strategies delivered alongside therapy.
Briana works closely with psychiatrists, neuropsychologists, and other prescribing providers when patients benefit from medication management or formal testing. Collaboration across the care team is part of how this practice is run.

Who Benefits from ADHD Therapy?
ADHD therapy helps anyone whose ADHD symptoms are interfering with daily life — whether that means a high schooler overwhelmed by the academic load, a college student struggling to stay organized, a young professional hitting executive functioning walls at work, or an adult who has only recently received a diagnosis after years of quietly struggling. It is particularly valuable for clients whose ADHD overlaps with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, or autism spectrum traits — presentations that require a clinician who understands how these conditions interact.
Briana sees adolescents and adults from ages 13–70. Many clients begin in adolescence and continue care through college and young adulthood.
